NIF has the ability to conduct experiments at the Secret Restricted Data level. Converting the facility and transferring control of the diagnostics to a classified computer network system is a routine operational procedure for several diagnostic systems; a small number of systems cannot be configured to take classified data. The User Office can provide further information. NIF does not have the capability to take images of visually classified targets which includes images from the target-alignment systems; targets for NIF experiments must be visually unclassified.
