The Tri-Color FCM is defined by 3 unique wavelengths according to the mapping and represented pictorially in Figure 4-8: 16 quads in the Northern hemisphere at wavelength 1 shown in red; 16 quads equally split between the Northern and Southern hemispheres (8 quads in the northern hemisphere and 8 quads in the southern hemisphere) at wavelength 2 shown in red and blue; and 16 quads in the Southern hemisphere at wavelength 3 shown in blue.
